The French Sailing Federation is an association created in 1946. Its mission is to develop all sailing practices.

Sailing is a passionate practice, offering sensations both during recreational and competitive navigation. It is the respect of one's environment, the anticipation and the mastery of the elements for a sailing well-being. It is a shared desire to transmit to open new horizons, a voluntary or professional commitment. It is innovation, the search for performance. The pleasure of being on the water whatever one's age, one's desires.

The FFVoile in figures: 3.3 million sailors, 50% of whom are welcomed into its network of affiliated clubs, notably in its 392 French Sailing Schools, for a total of more than 260,000 members. The greatest French skippers often took their first steps in one of the French Sailing Schools, like Armel Le Cléac'h, one of the favorites on this Route du Rhum, or Charline Picon, gold medalist at the Rio Olympic Games and silver medalist in Tokyo.
Ocean racing, and particularly the Route du Rhum, encourages daring and dreams. And it is with passion and joy that the FFVoile (French Federation of Vocational Training) gives its full support to this superb race, which inspires dreams for young and old alike and reveals our greatest sailors to all French people.
Behind each of you lies an ocean adventurer, a triumphant Olympian, a sailor with a love of the sea, a passionate regatta sailor. Push open the doors of the French Sailing Schools and set sail for new horizons!
See you soon on the water!
