On Sunday 1 November 2026, the sailors will set off from Saint-Malo for the queen of solo transatlantic races. Brittany Ferries is preparing for it fully and is proud to rejoin the family of companies that associate their name and their expertise with this major event. Founded in 1972 in Roscoff, the shipping company thereby reinforces its regional roots and also its ambition to shine beyond the borders of Brittany. This partnership also continues a historic link begun in 1978 between Brittany Ferries and the Route du Rhum. It was indeed aboard the vessel Armorique that Éric Tabarly started the first edition of this legendary race.

Meeting Brittany Ferries at the village
From 20 October to 1 November 2026, Brittany Ferries will be present in Saint-Malo, where it has been established since 1976 with its regular service to Portsmouth. On the start village, a stand will allow visitors to discover the Company. For thirteen days, the Brittany Ferries teams will welcome young and old on their stand to introduce them to the maritime world, the diversity of its professions, safety at sea and many other fascinating themes.

Many visitors will come to try their luck at winning a trip with Brittany Ferries, gift vouchers and other prizes. To that end, several playful activities will be on offer: the captain's wheel, an entertaining game to discover and learn nautical vocabulary, and a photobooth.

On Sunday 1 November 2026, in the start area, the flagship Pont-Aven will welcome aboard passengers who booked their place long in advance, as well as officials, at the moment of the cannon shot that will launch this new edition.
