Boarding IDEC SPORT - CIC alone means accepting to step outside my comfort zone at every moment. That's exactly what motivates me. I'm here to learn, progress, and write a new chapter in my story.
Alexia BARRIER
biography
Alexia Barrier, born in 1979 in Paris and raised in Nice, discovered sailing at the age of three. After studying sports science, she embarked on offshore racing in 2005 (Mini Transat) and went on to compete in numerous transatlantic races alongside renowned sailors (Florence Arthaud, Dennis Conner, Samantha Davies, etc.). In 20 years, she has covered more than 200,000 nautical miles and crossed the Atlantic 18 times, including five solo crossings. In 2020-2021, she finished 24th in the Vendée Globe, and in 2025, she will become the fastest woman on the water with the record for the fastest circumnavigation of the world by an all-female crew, The Famous Project.
