At 24, Basile Bourgnon wasted no time in his offshore racing career. In 2019, his first Transat Jacques Vabre in Class40 with Emmanuel Le Roch definitively ignited his competitive spirit. The son of Laurent Bourgnon, two-time winner of the Route du Rhum, was only 17 at the time. He honed his skills and made a name for himself in Mini 6.50 and Figaro 3 classes before taking the helm of the Ocean Fifty Edenred 5, launched in 2025. Passionate about multihulls and speed, Basile learns quickly and has established himself as one of the key players in the Class.
