Biography

Originally from Marseille, where he competed at a high level in Laser sailing, Laurent settled in Brittany and learned offshore racing from some of the world's best skippers.

Passionate about speed and cutting-edge technology, he developed advanced skills as a technician, boat captain, and technical director, becoming a well-rounded skipper capable of sailing multiple classes (ORMA, Ultim, Ocean Fifty, IMOCA, Figaro 3, Mini 6.50).

In 2022, he founded the Laurent Bourguès Sailing Team, based in Lorient. Now in his third season in the Ocean Fifty Series, he is tackling his main objective: the Route du Rhum.
