Tanguy CARADEC

I grew up with the ocean and with this family history. Participating in the Route du Rhum is a way of coming full circle, paying tribute, and fulfilling a dream.

Tanguy CARADEC

biography

Born in 1980, Tanguy divides his time between Puteaux and La Trinité-sur-Mer. A former U17/U18 national football player, he first learned to sail on Gwillen, the family's classic yacht, before discovering competitive racing at 18. He has since sailed on prestigious boats such as Ikra (12m JI), Saga (Nelson Marek 47), and the Ker 39 GOA, with which he won the 2015 Fastnet Race and the 2016 Commodores Cup. The youngest of three siblings, with brothers Corentin and Josselin, he is now the father of two daughters, Charlotte and Juliette.
