Biography

In 1980, Charlie left for the United States to join the yard of Walter Greene, the architect & builder of the A'capella series. There he learned the trade, and fate led him to cross paths for the first time with what would become the passion of his life, the trimaran ACAPELLA (third of the series of five).

Charlie & Acapella will take the start of the Route du Rhum for the seventh time, so that the feat achieved by Mike BIRCH in 1978 aboard Olympus lives on through them.

There is no doubt that the adventure will be a fine one to live, to follow and to tell ... Fair winds!
