profile

"It's still hard to believe. Taking the start as skipper of Sodebo Fifty today... it's indescribable. I can't wait for November 1st and to be on the starting line in Saint-Malo."
Leonard Legrand
biography
Born in Saint-Malo, "Léo" developed a passion for sailing at a very young age. Joining Sodebo in 2015 as an electronics apprentice, he gradually climbed the ranks until joining the sailing team of Sodebo Ultim 3. In parallel, he built his experience in Ocean Fifty with Viabilis Ocean and won the legendary Jules Verne Trophy on January 25th with the Sodebo Ultim 3 crew. In 2026, at 32 years old, he became skipper of Sodebo Fifty with the Route du Rhum in his sights, his childhood dream.
