Being a partner of the Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe has never been simply about financial or institutional support. It's a commitment that goes far beyond that: participating in the co-creation of a unique event, contributing to its identity, and imagining together the contours of each new edition. The Route du Rhum has always moved forward as a collective adventure, a shared endeavor shaped by those who bring it to life.
It was with this mindset—open, collaborative, and deeply focused on sharing—that we brought our partners together in Paris, at the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique. This day was crucial for laying the groundwork for the 2026 edition, sharing our ambitions, coordinating our actions, and beginning to build, together, the Year of Rum.
The objective was clear: to give everyone the visibility they needed to fully engage with the event's momentum right from the start. This meeting in Paris provided an opportunity to introduce all the partners currently involved, announce the key issues and outlines of the next edition, and then work in groups to share perspectives and stimulate ideas. A true moment of collective intelligence.

A few days earlier, we were in Saint-Malo to write another important page of the 2026 project. We were 180 gathered at the Palais du Grand Large for the first Territories Meeting dedicated to the 2026 edition. Residents, shopkeepers, self-employed workers, associations, economic players, institutions… The diversity of the room said it all: Saint-Malo is present, as always, with energy and determination.
The aim of this meeting was simple yet crucial: to involve the Saint-Malo region from the outset, ensuring that the city and its key stakeholders are fully integrated into the dynamics of the race. The agenda included: a presentation of the challenges and new features for 2026, a closer look at the welcoming arrangements, activities, key events, and ample time for discussion to listen to needs, ideas, and expectations.
Our aim is clear: to make this edition an even smoother, more sustainable, more welcoming, and even more beneficial event for local stakeholders. A Route du Rhum that is growing, but remains true to its deeply popular and regional character.
Thank you to everyone who was present in Saint-Malo and Paris. These two events mark an essential step: the collective mobilization of all contributors, partners and stakeholders in the region who make the Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe one of the biggest sporting events in France.
