ROMI Recycling, a player in recycling and waste recovery in Western France
With its 12 locations, including 11 branches spread across Brittany and the Pays de la Loire, as well as its headquarters in Rennes , ROMI Recyclage supports industrialists, businesses and communities in the collection, sorting, preparation, recycling and recovery of their waste.
With 185 employees , a turnover of 70 million euros and 205,000 tonnes handled each year across the Group , ROMI Recyclage relies on its territorial network and its professional expertise to offer solutions adapted to the different flows and needs of its customers.
Solutions for many waste streams
ROMI Recycling handles a wide range of materials and waste: paper and cardboard, plastics, scrap metal and ferrous and non-ferrous metals, wood, waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), waste from economic activities (DAE), inert waste, rubble, plaster, glass and other waste from construction sites .
The company also intervenes in the handling of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) and end-of-life boats , with dismantling operations and the referral of different materials to appropriate channels.
From the collection to the preparation of materials
ROMI Recycling supports its clients at various stages of their waste management. The company offers collection solutions tailored to the volumes and constraints of each business, including the provision of containers ranging from 1 to 40 m³ .
Upon receipt, the materials are sorted and prepared according to their nature and destination. The Group's expertise includes sorting, shearing, compacting, and crushing operations to prepare the materials before they are sent to recycling and recovery facilities.
Organized channels, from reuse to recycling
ROMI Recyclage also operates within the framework of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes , in connection with the relevant eco-organizations depending on the nature of the products and waste taken care of.
This is particularly the case for the Construction Products and Materials sector of the Building industry (PMCB) , which organizes the handling of various building materials and contributes to the development of solutions for reuse, repurposing, recycling and recovery .
In the maritime sector, ROMI Recyclage also possesses expertise in the dismantling of end-of-life boats and vessels . The company handles both end-of-life pleasure craft and end-of-life commercial vessels .
For pleasure boats, ROMI Recyclage intervenes in particular within the framework of the sector organised by APER (Association for Eco-Responsible Boating) .
Through its role in these different sectors, ROMI Recyclage contributes to a better orientation of products and materials, by seeking, according to their nature and condition, the appropriate solutions for reuse, recycling and recovery .
