Ian Lipinski
biography
Born in Paris in 1981 and a graduate of Supaéro, Ian Lipinski was captivated by the ocean. A sailing instructor at Les Glénans and a cruising sailor with his wife, he became convinced that his life would be written on the water. A two-time winner of the Mini Transat (2015 and 2017), he received support from Crédit Mutuel in 2018 and co-designed, with David Raison, a Class40 with a rounded bow that inspired the entire fleet. With 5 victories, 12 podium finishes, and a record for the circumnavigation of the British Isles, he approaches the 2026 Route du Rhum with a wealth of experience.
