Mikael MERGUI
skipper Class40, on HIRSCH-CENTRAKOR, HYÈRES
Biography
Mikael Mergui is a Mediterranean skipper who fell into the transatlantic racing bug at a very young age. He discovered the Atlantic at 5 years old on the family boat, then crossed it again in a Mini, which he built himself. From the America's Cup to the Sydney-Hobart, via the Mini Transat, his career is as varied as it is atypical. Skipper of the Class40 Centrakor and then Centrakor Hirsch for the past four years, he returns to the Route du Rhum after a first participation in 2022, notably marked by his assistance to La Boulangère and Crosscall after their dismastings.
