Mathieu CLAVEAU
biography
Born in the Ardèche region and raised in the Lozère, Mathieu Claveau is a natural athlete, well-versed in the adrenaline rush of summits. He discovered sailing as a teenager thanks to his Breton father. An aeronautical engineer in Marseille, Mathieu Claveau pursued his sporting ambitions alongside his professional career from 2012 to 2023, participating in the Transat AG2R in 2018 (15th overall) and the Transat Jacques Vabre in 2019 (14th overall and 1st in the vintage category), then in 2022 in his very first Route du Rhum (28th overall and 1st in the vintage category).
