The Route du Rhum is an exceptional race. I'm happy to line up at the start once again. The fight is going to be very intense in Class40. It's going to be fabulous to follow and, above all, to live.

Biography

Vincent Riou is one of the great names of French sailing. Winner of the 2004-2005 Vendée Globe aboard PRB, he also has two Transat Jacques Vabre victories to his name, in 2013 and 2015. Loyal to the PRB colours for nearly twenty years, he has taken part in 4 editions of the Route du Rhum between 2006 and 2018. An experienced sailor and renowned technician, he has one of the finest track records in French offshore racing. Today, he competes in Class40 at the helm of Pierreval-Fondation GoodPlanet.
