Biography

Ambrogio Beccaria is one of the leading Italian offshore racers of his generation. He has won the biggest races: the first Italian in history to win the Mini Transat, in 2019, he went on to win the 2023 Transat Jacques Vabre and the 2024 Transat CIC in Class40. Four years ago, he finished second in the Route du Rhum in Class40. Having moved up to IMOCA in 2025 on his new boat Allagrande Mapei, he won the Vendée Arctique in 2026 and became the first Italian to win a solo IMOCA race. He now approaches the Route du Rhum with high ambitions.
