Biography

Living with Crohn's disease since the age of 15, Pierre-Louis is a professional skipper, patient expert and speaker. A former sports instructor in Honfleur, he moved into offshore racing in 2018 with the Solitaire du Figaro and won the Class40 Championship in 2024. With nine transatlantic crossings to his name, including the 2022 Route du Rhum solo race, he became a patron of AFA Crohn RCH France in January 2026 and set up his IMOCA project "RESILIENT" to raise awareness of chronic illness and invisible disability, and to show that it is possible to have ambitious dreams and make them come true.
