biographie
Professional sailor, Olympic athlete (London 2012, Rio 2016), and mother, Francesca Clapcich is considered one of the most versatile female sailors. Born in Italy and now living in Utah, she has achieved a string of firsts: the first Italian woman to win the Solitaire du Figaro, the first to win The Ocean Race (2022-2023), and the first female skipper in the Ocean Fifty Series. Competing with 11th Hour Racing, she and her team are sending a powerful message for a protected ocean and a more inclusive and egalitarian sport.
